Welcome to Clinical Education at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust
Led by the Director of Clinical Education (DCE), the Clinical Education Department works towards improving and assuring the quality of both medical and non-medical training provided at Darent Valley Hospital. We aim to improve the recognition of the Trust as a Centre of Excellence for lifelong learning, fostering a culture of enthusiasm for excellent teaching and learning among all grades of staff.
Our vision is to:
Provide the highest quality training across multi-professional teams to enhance knowledge, skills and behaviours, which promote excellence in patient care and patient safety.
To ensure a high quality experience for all clinical staff trained at DGT.
Provide high quality clinical education for all grades of non-medical and medical clinicians within the Trust. Our delivery of the subjects will be guided by the educational curricula and the Clinical Core Skills for Health Framework (2015).
Actively work to, where possible, increase the number of training posts across the professional groups within DGT.
"The clinical education department have been fantastic throughout my time at DVH. The whole team are very approachable and really supportive. I can't praise them highly enough." - Previous CMT trainee
